The purpose for this site

Tigerfaith.com is a site for those who feel they are seeking god or need answers regarding their old or new found faith. When I found myself seeking god I was not a member of a church and only went occasionally every few years. I found it very hard to discuss my new found faith with my friends and coworkers, nor did I know any preachers or pastors to help guide me. I knew nothing and was shy and ashamed to ask questions that I had.
This site is for those in mind who do not regularly attend a church, or do not have someone to ask questions regarding god, but would like to discuss or share a religious views. If you do attend a church you are very welcome at this site. My end goal is to help give these "diamonds in the ruff" enough encouragement to seek a church home or better help someone accept god in their life. Every once in a while I will have a guest preacher give a short sermon in our media area for up-liftment or encouragement, since I am not a Pastor, Preacher, Deacon, or anything of the sort. I am just an average Joe Blow who loves god.
Tiger Faith why the name?

Some of you may ask why this site is called Tigerfaith.com. Well I heard a sermon in church one day and the ending piece was about what kind of faith do you have. The preacher described two kinds of faith “Monkey” and “Tiger” faith.
The pastor explained that baby monkeys cling to their mothers as they move and climb through trees. The baby’s ability to hold and not fall off is solely dependent on their physical strength. The mother only concern is moving and navigating the terrain. He said “Monkey faith” is the strength of your faith to hold on to God.
Many times people will only seek or cling on to God when times are bad. Believing that if they are obedient and pray their situation will change. However, once every thing is back to normal they forget about God. They stop praying as much or giving praise or taking the time to attend church. Tiger faith is much different.
When a mother tiger moves she carries the young in her mouth. The mother’s jaw has enough strength to break through bone literally able to crush the pup. However, she is delicate in her efforts to not harm her young in any way. As the mother moves around, the pup uses none of its strength to hold on. All the effort is done by the mother.
Tiger faith is knowing that no mater what happens in your life good or bad you are in Gods hands and his grace is sufficient. As powerful as God is he will not let you go or allow you to be harmed. He will carry you through your worst and best times even if you decide to no longer accept or praise him. His hold will forever be there. The Lord always has your back even when you don’t have his. To me faith is a necessary corner stone to having a true relationship with God. My faith is my testimony as many things would not have happened in my life if it were not for the faith in my Lord.
